Upper Sahali

Kamloops’ Upper Sahali is an ethnically diverse neighbourhood characterized by rolling hills, sweeping views and quiet, child-friendly cul-de-sacs.  Upper Sahali is bounded on the North by Lower Sahali, on the East by Peterson Creek Nature Park, and on the West by Aberdeen.  As one of Kamloops’ largest neighbourhoods, Upper Sahali has a broad range of housing available at a huge variety of price points, with condos and townhouses starting at 125,000. Detached homes in Upper Sahali start at 250,000$, while the most luxurious homes go for around 1,200,000$.  Upper Sahali is an excellent place for those looking to purchase an income property or a primary residence, and features convenient access to some of the best shopping in town at Sahali Centre Mall and Aberdeen Mall, as well as Columbia Square and other shopping centres.  It is also just a short distance down the hill to Thompson Rivers University which makes it easy to attract tenants from the student body.

Upper Sahali features many excellent parks like the Gordonhorn Park, and Albert McGowan Park, as well as Peterson Creek Nature Park, locally renowned for its beautiful canyons and waterfalls.  For the outdoor enthusiast, Upper Sahali offers easy access to the great outdoors with excellent hiking and mountain biking trails in your own back yard, as well as being just a few minutes away from the network of highways that pass through Kamloops that will whisk you away to some of the most beautiful territory in the Interior.  From Upper Sahali you are an easy drive away from fishing, camping, horseback riding, skiing, snowmobiling and all the other outdoor activities that you can imagine, as well as being a scenic drive away from BC’s wine country.

Upper Sahali also offers excellent schooling for children of all ages, with both mainstream and French immersion elementary schools, and Sahali Secondary School. 

Upper Sahali is certainly one of Kamloops’ best neighbourhoods. It has beautiful views, quiet streets and intimate cul-de-sacs, and easy access to some of the best schools and shopping that Kamloops has to offer, if you’re buying a new home in Kamloops, you should definitely consider moving to Upper Sahali.

Lower Sahali

Lower Sahali is one of Kamloops most desirable neighbourhoods, be it for first time home buyers, established families, retirees, or for those purchasing income property.  Lower Sahali sits on the crest of the hill above the City Centre, and is borderd to the south by Upper Sahali, to the East by Peterson Creek, and to the West by the West End.  Lower Sahali has excellent shopping, both in its own boundaries and up and down the hill, has broad quiet streets, excellent schools, and quality amenities that make it an excellent neighbourhood to live in.  Being on top of the hill above the City Centre provides many of the homes in Lower Sahali with excellent views of the valley, as well as beautiful sunrises and sunsets.  Lower Sahali has a broad range of housing from condos to apartment buildings and detached homes, priced between 250,000$ and 550,000$.  For those looking to purchase an income property, they need look no further than Lower Sahali, as its close proximity to Thompson Rivers University and its excellent public transit infrastructure makes it a prime location to attract tenants. 

Lower Sahali is also close to the best shopping that Kamloops has to offer, whether you go down the hill to the City Centre, or to the multiple shopping centres in Sahali itself, you’re sure to find everything that you need within a 5-10 minute drive from your house.

One of the best reasons to move to Lower Sahali is for education.  Just down the hill is the superb St Ann’s Academy, a private Catholic K-12 school that is consistently at the top of the rankings for Kamloops.  Lower Sahali is also serviced by the renowned Beattie School for the Arts, and by Sahali Secondary.  Lower Sahali is equidistant between the two French immersion elementary schools on the South Shore, thus helping to ensure that your children can take advantage of bilingual education.  If your children are of university age, living in Lower Sahali can save thousands of dollars in housing fees as the neighbourhood is within walking distance of Thompson Rivers University.
